Does the Digital Content Center offer an Affiliate Program?
Affiliates selling your digital products is a fantastic way to increase your revenue stream, but make sure the right people are representing you.
The two considerations for choosing the right Affiliate Partner are A) Will the Affiliate compliment your business, and 2) Is the Affiliate ethical in how they market your products (spam email, info sharing). You’ll really want to think about these two factors before even considering having Affiliates selling your products. If the answer is no to either of these questions, you probably don’t want them representing you.
Digital Content Center has a built in Affiliate System that allows you to create an Affiliate Account, provide the Affiliate with a dedicated link (no hop links), and the ability to pull detailed reports by date range. As with our entire service our Affiliate System allows you to control everything from what you pay (a % of sales or a dollar amount), when you pay, and how you pay. Our system has built in detailed reporting features too.
If you don’t want to manage an Affiliate Program there are a few reputable services out there that will handle it all, but we recommend really, really, researching these companies first and remember Digital Content Center can still sell and deliver your digital products no matter who you use.

Should I offer Sample Content?
Offering sample content to potential buyers is a great way to market your digital content.
We all love samples because we all love FREE. Giving a potential buyer a sample of your product, in my opinion, is the best way to get your product out there, at least so that it gets more exposure.
Unlike samples that you’ll find in your local supermarket where you can share only with the person that is with you, offering a free sample of your digital content can be shared with an unlimited number of people. Think about it, how many times have you found something online that you have sent to a friend. Well it works the same way with samples of your digital content.
As part of your marketing efforts try to give a sample of your product. Nothing major, an excerpt from your ebook, a 10 second trial of your music, etc…
Digital Content Center allows you to provide samples of all of your digital products right from the custom shop page.

Feature Update 1
For those clients with multiple content products you can now sort how the information is displayed within your Custom Shop Page. Just log in to the Client Management Control Panel and go to the Custom Shop page. You’ll see the Sort Product By drop down menu with the the following choices: Price High to Low, Price Low to High, Category, and Description. This option can be changed at any time and is posted in real time so your products are sorted immediately.
Feature Update 2
The Buy Buttons Area (inside of the Custom Shop Area) was starting to receive a high level of support requests on how it works, so we have re-organized the different types of Buy Buttons that are offered and have provided a bit more information as guidance.
Feature Update 3
Another area of concern over the last week has been a Return to Site Link. We have made the update and you can now access it in to the Client Management Control Panel under the Custom Shop page. You’ll see the Method to Return to Site text with the choices: None, Link, Close Window. This link will appear at the top of your Custom Chop Page and provides additional navigation for your customers if you choose to use the feature.
In Closing
For now that is it. We’ll update you as we add more features or make major updates to our service. If you have a request for a feature that you would like to see, let us know, we are always interested in hearing from our clients and making our service the best it can be.

Is the PDF Format a popular software to create eBooks with?
Yes, PDF is a widely used format for creation of eBooks.
There are other eBook Creation Software products available, but if you search the net for them, you’ll find that most publish to an EXE File, (executable file), or they require some type of special reader in order to read the book. The reader for PDF Files (Acrobat Reader) is everywhere, which is the real advantage to publishing in PDF Format.
If you are thinking of writing and publishing an eBook the PDF format is flexible, widely used, and now allows you to specify what others can do with your file, such as copying, printing, commenting, or editing.
If you need a little help with your eBook talk to us. We have the latest PDF Creation Software and can help you create, protect, and distribute your PDF eBook.

What is the difference between digital content delivery and membership content delivery?
Digital Content and Membership Content can be the same content, so the real question should be, what defines content that is delivered as a one time download compared to a membership site that delivers content for a subscription time period.
Content that is delivered as a one time download is usually content that is static, meaning that once it is created it never changes. A great example would be an eBook or a legal document.
Content that is delivered through a membership site for a subscription time period is content that is dynamic, meaning that it is always changing. A great example would be how to videos.
Choosing the correct delivery method for digital content will depend on how often the content will be produced.
Digital Content Center is great tool for delivery of one time downloads. If you want to deliver content in a subscription format we suggest using our other service, Net Member Services. No matter what method you need to deliver your content we can help.

How do you price digital content?
Digital Content, like anything else for sale, will need to be priced so that it will sell well. You don’t want it to be too high or too low. Finding that happy medium is tough though.
The first thing to do when setting a price for your digital content is to try to find content that is similar in scope to what you are offering and offer your content at a similar price. If you are unable to find a similar offering you’ll have to price it so that people see the value in what you are offering for the price you are offering.
Some considerations that you’ll want to think about prior to setting your price, are how much time you have into the creation of your content, your delivery service cost, advertising, credit card processing fees. Look at these expenses for a single Month of time. Here is an example to help guide you:
- Creation Cost – $50.00
- Digital Content Center Delivery Service Cost – $9.95
- Advertising Cost – $50.00
- Credit Card Processing Fees – $10.05
With a total expense of $120.00 and one month of time and a goal to break even, you can now calculate that it will take a sale each day at $4.00 per sale to break even. If you sell 2 per day then you will recoup your expense in half the time and make a profit for the month. Also remember to take the creation cost out of the equation after you have recouped that expense.
Digital Content Center can help with your expenses. We don’t charge royalty or percentage fees like other services. Every dollar you charge is every dollar you get (minus those pesky credit card or paypal fees). With pricing starting at $9.95 per month and no hidden fees our service is extremely affordable.

What is the main difference between how Click Bank delivers digital content compared to how Digital Content Center delivers digital content?
How digital products are delivered instantly after the purchase:
With Click Bank – Your downloadable digital files (if delivered in real time) are not protected from downloads from others. Per the rules of Click Bank “If the product is a file for download (pdf, zip, doc, exe, etc), include a link to it on your Thank You Page..” This basically means that a person that buys your digital content from Click Bank is sent to your Thank You Page and your Thank You Page must have link to the digital product. A buyer can save that link and pass it to as many people as they want who can then download your product for free.
Click Bank also allows digital products that can require registration to activate. These products are not delivered in real time. Per the rules of Click Bank, “Some products are personalized, or require registration to activate. Such products require direct feedback from the customer to complete delivery. The best way to do this is to collect the information with a web form on your Thank You Page. If you do not have advanced web design skills, an alternative is to simply ask the customer to send you an email with the information you require.” This method is great except that it requires human intervention and if the seller is not available 24 hours a day, delivery of the product can be delayed and may cause the buyer to have remorse and want a refund.
With Digital Content Center – All downloadable digital products are delivered in real time and are protected so that buyers can only download them once. A unique license key is generated automatically each time a purchase is made and once the download is complete the license key is destroyed so it can’t be used again.
Also, say your digital content requires a registration key to activate, instead of choosing to have the license keys generated automatically you can upload an unlimited amount of license keys that match the product registration, thus providing the download license key and the registration key in one transaction.

What is Digital Rights Management and how can Digital Content Center keep downloads safe from unauthorized usage?
Simply put, Digital Rights Management is access control (how a digital files is used). It allows copyright holders to prevent unauthorized duplication of their work to ensure continued revenue for their digital work.
Digital Rights Management is done at the file level. Meaning the software that is used to create the digital file is the vehicle that controls access to the file. Access is always limited to the controls allowed by the software the digital file is being created with.
Digital Content Center is a vehicle that delivers digital content from a central location to a buyer. A license key is used to control access to the download. Once a digital file is purchased a license key is provided to the buyer, which allows him/her to download the digital file the number of times he/she has paid for it.
